Manchester based UK independent production company Urban Canyons has moved into post production for their latest history co-pro Samurai Headhunters; part of the UNTOLD HISTORY strand of ancient warrior drama docs.

During 2012, Urban Canyons Managing Director Sebastian Peiter raised the finance from Smithsonian Channel, ZDF / Arte, UKTV and ZDF Enterprises; with additional support from the European MEDIA fund.

At Mipcom, the UK based production and distribution company Urban Canyons is rolling out the first episode of the UNTOLD HISTORY 6 x 52 min series on ancient warriors. The first GBP 215,000 NINJA Shadow Warriors episode was co-produced by ZDF / Arte, Smithsonian Channel and NGTI who are distributing the episode at MIPCOM. Further funding was received from MEDIA and the Japan Foundation.

Manchester based production and distribution outfit URBAN CANYONS has secured a book/DVD publishing deal for its GUERILLA ART 1x58min television documentary with Laurence King Publishing, one of the world’s leading art book publishers.

At MIPDOC 2008, the GUERILLA ART television documentary, narrated by White Cube curator and SKY ARTS presenter Tim Marlow, has been picked up by NRK (Norway), Globosat (Brazil), Canal+ (Poland) and KLM airlines.
