With TIME OUT DualDisc series in the UK

Following the success of the SPTV produced URBANATION travel series, founder and managing director Sebastian Peiter has set up URBAN CANYONS LTD, a fully integrated London based production and distribution company specialising in travel, lifestyle and youth culture documentaries.

The first series of URBANATION (18 x 25’) has already sold to over 15 broadcasters including Travel Channel, Canal+, Discovery Asia, Channel 4 Nelonen (Finland) and Brazil’s Globosat as well as to Adidas concept stores.

A series of 150x2’ shorts based on the URBANATION concept was the first external commission for new US audience participation channel Current TV, founded by Ex-US Vice President Al Gore.

On 24th April 2006, URBAN CANYONS' interactive travel guide series The Other Side will be distributed in the UK & Europe via music retailers after a successful US launch in October 2005. New York record company Deaf Dumb & Blind Communications commissioned URBAN CANYONS in association with travel publisher Time Out Group to produce the DVD element for an interactive DualDisc series.

The OTHER SIDE utilizes the Dual-Disc format, each edition is comprised of two key elements: a mixed CD compiled by a native audio pioneer and a DVD guide to the "other side" of the city provided by URBAN CANYONS. Covering NEW YORK, PARIS AND LONDON, the series gives insider tips on the coolest shops, hotels, bars, restaurants and more. Each section has an interactive video feature and the booklet/poster inside gives comprehensive TIME OUT listings plus a map of the city, making this the ultimate travel companion for the savvy, fashion conscious visitor to the Big Apple.
